Leo's Golden Sangria

A magnificent sharing cocktail that embodies Leo's generous spirit through abundant fruit and golden wine. This sangria celebrates the height of summer with peak stone fruits and warming honey, perfect for Leo's love of grand gatherings.

Ingredients (Serves 6-8)

  • 1 bottle (750ml) crisp white wine (Albariño or Pinot Grigio)

  • 8 oz peach liqueur (Mathilde Pêche or similar)

  • 4 oz brandy

  • 16 oz fresh peach nectar

  • 8 oz fresh orange juice

  • 4 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 4 oz honey simple syrup*

  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced

  • 2 oranges, sliced into wheels

  • 1 lemon, sliced into wheels

  • Fresh mint sprigs

  • 16 oz sparkling water (added when serving)

Honey Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup honey

  • 0.5 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Prepare honey syrup: Whisk honey with warm water until dissolved. Let cool.

  2. In a large pitcher, combine wine, peach liqueur, brandy, peach nectar, orange juice, lemon juice, and honey syrup.

  3. Add sliced fruits and mint sprigs.

  4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.

  5. When serving, add sparkling water and stir gently.

  6. Serve over ice in wine glasses, ensuring each glass gets plenty of fruit.

Notes

  • Best made at least 4 hours ahead for optimal flavor

  • Use ripe, fragrant peaches for best results

  • Can be made up to 24 hours in advance (add sparkling water when serving)

  • Adjust sweetness with additional honey syrup if needed
