Grape Escape

An elegant vodka cocktail that celebrates late summer's grape harvest through fresh muddled fruit and rosemary aromatics. The elderflower liqueur adds floral complexity while maintaining the drink's sophisticated balance, perfectly capturing Virgo's refined approach to seasonal abundance.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz grape-infused vodka*

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • 0.75 oz rosemary syrup**

  • 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur

  • 5 red grapes

  • Fresh rosemary sprig for garnish

*Grape-Infused Vodka:

  • 1 bottle premium vodka

  • 2 cups red grapes, halved

  • Infuse for 48 hours, strain and bottle

*Rosemary Syrup:

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 4 fresh rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  1. Prepare rosemary syrup: Boil sugar and water, add rosemary sprigs. Simmer 5 minutes, cool completely, strain and bottle.

  2. In a shaker, muddle 4 grapes gently to release juices.

  3. Add grape-infused vodka, lime juice, rosemary syrup, and elderflower liqueur.

  4. Shake vigorously with ice and double strain into chilled coupe.

  5. Garnish with remaining grape and rosemary sprig.

  6. Lightly torch rosemary for aromatic enhancement (optional).

Notes

  • Infused vodka keeps indefinitely when properly stored

  • Rosemary syrup keeps refrigerated for up to 3 weeks

  • For deeper grape flavor, increase infusion time to 72 hours

  • Best served in a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass

  • Pairs beautifully with Mediterranean appetizers or sunset sipping
