Spiced Pear Martini

A winter martini that captures the essence of ripe pears and warming spices. This elegant cocktail layers pear vodka with hints of cardamom and ginger, finished with a delicate poached pear garnish that doubles as a sophisticated bite. A celebration of winter's most refined flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz pear vodka

  • 0.5 oz dry vermouth

  • 0.25 oz ginger liqueur

  • 2 dashes cardamom bitters

  • Poached pear fan and star anise for garnish

  1. For Poached Pear Garnish

    • 1 ripe pear

    • 2 cups water

    • 1 cup white wine

    • ½ cup sugar

    • 1 cinnamon stick

    • 2 star anise pods

    • 2 cardamom pods

  2. Instructions

    1. Prepare garnish:

      • Combine poaching liquid ingredients

      • Simmer until sugar dissolves

      • Add pear slices

      • Cook 8-10 minutes until tender

      • Cool before using

    2. Fill mixing glass with ice

    3. Add:

      • Pear vodka

      • Dry vermouth

      • Ginger liqueur

      • Cardamom bitters

    4. Stir for 30-35 seconds

    5. Strain into chilled martini glass

    6. Garnish with poached pear fan and star anise
