Autumn Eclipse

A whisky cocktail that balances rich autumn notes of plum and walnut with delicate elderflower. This libation honors Libra season's quest for harmony while incorporating the transformative energy of eclipse season through its deep amber color and layered complexity.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Japanese whisky (Yamazaki 12 or Nikka From The Barrel recommended)

  • 0.5 oz plum wine (Choya recommended)

  • 0.25 oz elderflower liqueur (St. Germain)

  • 2 dashes black walnut bitters

  • Orange peel for garnish

  • Large ice cube for serving

Instructions

  1. Chill a rocks glass with a large ice cube

  2. Add whisky, plum wine, elderflower liqueur, and bitters to a mixing glass

  3. Fill mixing glass with ice and stir for 30 seconds

  4. Strain into prepared rocks glass

  5. Express orange peel over drink, then drop in as garnish

Note: For best results, keep all ingredients chilled before mixing.
